The Price of Someone Else’s Peace

The war in Europe is edging toward nuclear confrontation. As allied forces fight to reclaim occupied territory, Moscow offers a devastating bargain: peace for NATO countries in exchange for surrendering Ukraine’s territory east of the Dnipro to Russia.

The proposed deal divides the allies and forces Ukraine to weigh withdrawal against the loss of support it needs to keep fighting. Far from the negotiating table, families separated by combat, captivity, and occupation face decisions of their own: whether to return, where to raise their children, and whether they can build a life together again.

The final novel of The European Front brings the story of the Kordek family and the people whose lives the war has intertwined to a close. For some, a ceasefire means coming home. For others, it means being ordered to leave their homes forever.
