Day Zero / Book 12
White Fire
A dead Antarctic vessel and a radiological attack in Jerusalem expose a weapons program hidden beneath the postwar recovery.
Aurora South, a polar expedition vessel believed lost, appears near Puerto Rico with its radio silent. A boarding team finds radiation, damaged records, and signs that the ship’s most important cargo has already been removed.
That same morning, a dirty bomb explodes during an international ceremony in Jerusalem, close to foreign delegations and the President of the United States. Evidence from the two events begins to converge. Washington sends a team toward Patagonia, following a trail that leads to a concealed nuclear program and an increasingly dangerous political choice. White Fire is a standalone novel set in the world of Day Zero.
