Day Zero / Book 5

The Hunger

In a shattered world, the next harvest becomes a matter of power and survival.

Six months after the nuclear strikes, food supplies are failing across the world. Roads, ports, warehouses, and convoy routes determine which regions can survive. Grain moves under armed escort, fuel becomes a strategic asset, and a single broken supply line can leave whole populations without support.

Surviving naval forces are tasked with defending the fragile routes that still keep people alive. Then the Global Seed Vault on Svalbard comes under threat, putting more than the next shipment at risk. Without viable seeds, there can be no future harvest. The Hunger brings the Day Zero struggle down to its most essential resource, as governments and armed forces compete over the means to feed a recovering civilization.
